Latin IV

This Latin IV course is designed to be the capstone of a student’s engagement with the Latin language.  Depending on student ability, the curriculum is quite flexible.  Sources that I recommend be included in this final year of Latin include (but are not limited to):

  • Caesar, Gallic War
  • Cicero, First Catilinarian Oration
  • Vergil, Aeneid
  • The Vulgate
  • Medieval Latin, various sources
  • Early Modern theology and scientific texts

The format of the course will be: assigned class work due on seminar days, and two 1-hour online seminars per week. The course provides credit for Latin.  As with the Latin III program, contact me to discuss the particular needs of your student in terms of Latin IV.
